SEC. 5. Section 64001 of the Education Code is amended to read: (j) Single school districts and charter schools may utilize the local control and accountability plan to serve as the SPSA, provided that the local control and accountability plan meets federal school planning requirements and the stakeholder requirements established in subdivision (a) of Section 52062

Exceptions to School Site Council Composition Requirements Assembly Bill 716

Combined SSCs may be used for sites with Common Administration and 300 pupils or less.

• Up to three schools can combine if the student population is less than 1,000 and has either a shared campus or is in geographic proximity.
• Sites with fewer than 300 pupils may have an alternate composition as long as one represents each member type and parity is maintained.
